Review: This book contradicts itself and has little inaccuracies all over the place. It also needlessly repeats itself a good deal of the time. On page 44-45 the paragraph starting "Male plants produce..." and the paragraph "Plant growth structure..." Basically say the same thing. I had to double check I didn't lose my place reading. Nope, the book just says the same thing.Page 57 the picture caption says "A germinated seed turns into a seedling when the rounded cotyledon leaves appear." On the same page under the subheading Seedlings "...the first true leaves appear, and the little plant is now officially a seedling." Well which is it?!Page 59: Discusses storing seeds and keeping them dry. "Place them in a small dark vial or film canister with a dry packet of silicone, the kind you find in electronics packages. Same page: "...and include a packet of silicon crystals to absorb moisture."Silicone is found in all sorts of forms as a paste like in calking, as a liquid found in lubricants, and as a semi-solid as in silicone breast implants. Silicon is element 14 right below carbon on the periodic table.The author was looking for is SILICA GEL! That is the silicon/oxygen based product that should be in the book. When a publication has dozens of these little failings it really calls into question the creditability of the entire work. It's like well if he got this obvious stuff wrong what else is wrong?

Review: Purchased as reference guide for medical marijuana patients as patients didn't trust collective advice.Absolutely no advice on how to do small inside grows. Or grows in soil. Or grows in hybrid soilless/soil mixtures.WTF: This guy wrote an entire Encyclopedia without once stating the nutrient requirements for each stage of growth.Anyways, it looks good on my coffee table tho'

Review: Great book with plenty of knowledge if one wants to start growing their plants the right way. I have read some negative reviews, but I honestly can't understand why. First of all, it is what you do with the information and how closely you follow the steps outlined is what guarantees your success. Don't expect to find updated LED articles in books published a few years ago, this particular technology updates itself and improves almost every year, so don't knock old school Jorge for not doing that. He had given plenty of good, solid information to have 100% success in your endeavors. The book is just a good tool. It is up to the grower to use it in such a way that it produces best results. The book did its part 100%, now do yours and see what happens. Frankly, in my opinion one doesn't need any other book to become a great grower, just occasional online research on some new technology related to LED'S and perhaps some other tech will occasionally answer your other questions. Big thank you to Jorge for taking the precious time out of his life to write such an amazing book with so many great illustrations and credible helpers to assist you with putting it together for us ! Review: Wonderfully researched, written, and illustrated. It provided information I would never have thought of and I have a BS in Env Science & Grad course in DNA Analysis. Great Contents pages along with very thorough Index and Appendix. Step by Step "Cooking With Medicinal Cannabis section and Making of Concentrates and Tinctures in the back. Also in the back is an Advanced Section in Part 3 on Breeding. Been reading this book every day.

Review: After reading I've noticed there's more information about useing products instead of growing naturally. I really can't see much of any difference than his previous book "The indoor/outdoor Cannabis Bible. Seems like Jorge just briefly explains things buts leaves you with questions and since the book is written based on plant product marketing I feel there's other books available that will teach you much better. Sorry Jorge, just being honest and hope to see you step it up in your next book.

Review: I have been growing marijuana now with the help of Jorge Cervantes now for close to 10 years, I started out with the marijuana bible everyone speaks of. It has been an up and down battle with growing, but I could always rely on the bible to help me out. I now have stepped up in the arena, and moved into breeding, and felt I needed more information. I was informed about the presage of Jorge's new book, and knew I had to have it, upon receiving this book, I was blown away, by everything. There is a section for every step of growing to give me the ability to grow the best marijuana possible, from pest and disease control, to how to properly breed for the traits you want. Being an encyclopedia doesn't mean it's just for experienced users either, this book is presented in a format that will be understood by everyone, with high quality pictures and broken down detailed explanations. Jorge didn't just stop at the information about marijuana, he takes you on the journey that has been his life's mission and introduces you to the people that have been fundamental in the legalization and de criminalization of marijuana around the world.Thank you so much Jorge for all the help and opportunity to own this great wealth of knowledge you have a massed in this book. Review: This book is poorly written and organized. Whoever wrote this needed to refill his ADHD meds BEFORE starting this project, and to make sure their editor (if it was even edited at all, after the first draft) was also on their meds. Information is scattered all over the place, in no logical order, and is often incomplete or out of date. This is the SECOND highly recommended book I've bought that fails to deliver clear, concise information in a logical, orderly and sensible manner. These are the kind of people that didn't do well in school and certainly couldn't handle college class work, and yet they have the audacity to endeavor to write a book. It's awful and embarrassing.LOOK: If you're an average Joe (or Jane) and you want to get started on growing as an amateur - THIS BOOK WILL CONFUSE AND FRUSTRATE YOU. DO NOT BUY IT!!!!
